She was amazing in her own special way,
She is what has molded many of us, to be who we are today.
The ability to bring smiles and laughter to the heart,
A true blessing from God from the very start.
Her knowledge has spread like mint tea in the sun,
Just being around her was joyous and fun.
We must remember to never forget all that she had loved,
We must remember to never forget that she is safe with the Lord above.
Memories of her love of the robin so red,
She will always remain in my heart and my head.
Her name is Shirley, meaning a country meadow,
Her soul so pure, white as the snow.
We all may share her love today,
We must all pray for courage to help us along the way.
She may not walk with us today, but in the end,
We will see her smiling face one day once again.
