HALIFAX- Frederick E. Zimmerman, age 78, a resident at the Manor @ Susquehanna Village in Millersburg and formerly of Halifax passed away Monday, February 1, 2010 at the Manor.
A native of Halifax Twp., PA, he was the son of the late William and Helen Keefer Zimmerman. Fred was a veteran of the US Army serving in the 101st Airborne Division. He worked at Willits shoe factory and also on the family farm.
Survivors include a brother Ralph and a sister Ruth Miller both of Halifax; he was preceded in death by two brothers Kenneth & Lee and a sister Kathryn Arnold..
The family will receive friends on Thursday, February 4, 2010 from 10-11 am at the Hoover-Boyer funeral home in Millersburg. Services will follow at 11:00 am with Rev. Michael Petresky officiating. Burial will be in Messiah Lutheran Cemetery in Fisherville.
